Hello everyone,
I've been asked a few times now about where the initial dollar goes or why does
it cost 1 dollar to sign up? The answer is simple and in the FAQ section of the
site located at http://www.onemillionunited.com/faq.aspx#5.

As you can see, for every sign up of one Dollar, 33 cents goes directly to Paypal as a
transaction fee.
The Tech fees include the cost of our programmers, servers and bandwidth for
the entire duration of the OMU project.
The Employee fees are the salaries paid out to our validation team so they can
check every single picture that is uploaded on the site. This is to make sure
that all uploaded pictures are in accordance with our terms and conditions and
privacy policies. Remember...there are "One Million" pictures to
verify and approve!
The marketing costs are pretty self explanatory...we need to spread the word!
The administration costs are mostly legal, to make sure everything is legit and
by the law. (Lawyers are expensive!)
Taxes, is something we all pay...but wish we didn't have to. Remember we registered
and legal.
Last but not least, Future Projects. Ramy and I are convinced that the OMU
initiative will be successful and therefore would like to continue creating
innovative ways, using the internet, to help people in need of assistance. To
do so, we need keep some investment aside for our next great projects to come.
I hope that clarifies all questions regarding the sign up fee...if not, just
reply with your question. Also visit our FAQ section at http://www.onemillionunited.com/faq.aspx#
Thanks to all who support the One Million United project,
David
